An organized criminal gang called the Para-Troop operates out of a bar called the Black Shamrock. They are bamboozled into taking on a contract against Captain Manhattan; to fail would be to appear weak to rival gangs. The Captain has several DP7 friends.

The Para-Troop fake being street corner Santa Clauses as a way to get the drop on the hero. After a fight, Para-Troop is defeated and left tied for the police.
